Deidre J Owen was born in Lexington, Kentucky, but aside from a stint in the Canadian Maritimes during the late nineties and early aughts, she has spent a majority of her time in the Tampa Bay area in Florida.
In 2017 and 2018, she released a children’s picture book collection, “The Heaven Zoo,” followed by her children’s chapter book series “We’re All Just People” (2018-2019) where she strives to instill love and respect through understanding into the hearts of the next generation.
In April of 2019, Owen partnered with New York author and editor Ronald Linson to found a small, independent publishing house called Mannison Press, LLC. The publisher specializes in short form fiction in a variety of different genres including but not limited to speculative fiction, science fiction, humor, and horror. Their inaugural multi-author anthology was published in October of 2019, followed quickly a number of their Mannison Minibooks, a companion anthology, and two short story collections. You can learn more about Mannison Press on their website here.
Although formerly a certified veterinary technician by trade (with a quirky history of random interests), Deidre is currently loving life with her husband in Lithia, Florida, as an author, publisher, and work-at-home mother to the couple’s young daughter.
