T’was four days before Christmas, and due to backlog,
This writer straight up just forgot ’bout her blog.
(*sigh* Good grief, Deidre, you’re doing this?)
I scrambled to write something pithy, and fast,
But I wound up with this. (I know, I’m aghast!)
I’ll keep this quite short, we’ve all got stuff to do.
I have gifts left to wrap, and you prolly do, too.
But as I watch out for more Amazon boxes
I can pen a few lines sitting here in my sockses.
(Like I’m using a pen.)
Whether you celebrate Kwanzaa or Christmas,
Hanukkah, Diwali, Las Posadas, or Solstice,
I wish you a good one. A great one, in fact!
May it be filled with love, and with wonderful snacks.
(Shuddup, it does so rhyme.)
I’d like to conclude with a personal note
To my God-fearing friends and you Christian-y folk:
God bless you and keep you. Recall, it begun
With the gift that He gave us through Christ, His own Son.
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays, my friends.
Warmest wishes,
